7. ¿Com puc parlar del futur?

1. El futur per accions:

Normalment utilitzem I am doing (present continuous) quan diem el que hem preparat de fer en un futur més o menys inmediat, per exemple trobar algú, anar a algun lloc, etc.

He is playing tennis on Monday afternoon.

At 10.30 a.m. I’m meeting her at the station.

Alex is getting married next month.

Diem “I  am going to do  something” quan hem decidit fer-ho (però potser no preparat de fer-ho):

She is going to buy a new car.

I’m going  to clean the windows later.

A: Are you going out this evening?

B: No, I’m going to write some letters.

Fem servir will quan decidim fer una cosa en el moment de parlar.

Thanks for lending me the money. I’ll pay you back on Friday.

I can see you’re busy, so I won’t stay long.

I feel a bit hungry. I think I’ll have something to eat.

2. El futur per prediccions:

Quan diem que “something is going to happen” la situació ara ens fa creure això:

Look at those black clouds. It’s going to rain.

I feel terrible I think I’m going to be sick.

The man is going to fall into the hole.

Quan diem que “something will happen” només estem expressant una opinió:

When she returns, she’ll find a lot of changes.

If you touch the plate, you’ll burn yourself.

Don’t worry about the exam I’m sure you’ll pass.
