Today I am
going to tell you how to prepare a typical British dish: Fish
and Chips!
First of
all, defrost the hake or cod loins. Secondly, break
an egg, pour its contents in a dish, beat the egg with a
spoon. After that, take the fish loins
and soak them with the egg, when the fish is wet,
rub it with the
flour.
Put some oil in a frying pan and when the oil sizzles put
the fish into the pan, but remember what I told you about the
fried egg: You must be careful with the oil,
you may get burnt if it sparks! I talk from
experience! If you are not confident
enough to prepare this dish on
your own, ask
help from your parents. After five minutes, more or less,
turn over the fish. Finally, take it out of the pan and season it with
some salt.
On the other hand, you can
peel some potatoes and cut them into sticks
or, (more practical) buy them cut in the supermarket. Anyway,
put them into another frying pan with some oil, the oil must
cover the potatoes completely.
You can
serve the fish and chips on a plate with some lemon slices. (Don't
eat the lemon slices, squeeze them over the
fish).
